I remember so clearly the day I applied for a Patisserie Diploma in Le Cordon Bleu London. I came home in Veliko Tarnovo for a couple of days so that me and my parents can discuss all of the details and to fill up my application form.
I was so excited about everything that was going to happen and I hadn’t even imagined how much my life was going to change. It’s not easy to decide to leave your home country permanently, although many people think otherwise. Buying one-way tickets and packing your suitcases is simple, what comes after that is the real adventure.
I had no doubts in my decisions. I was sure that the choices I made were the right ones and what made things easier was that I could share them with the person I love.
Today, a year later, I’m sitting comfortably in our cozy little studio in West London ready to share some of the desserts we made in the Basic level of the Patisserie Diploma.
I truly believe that I couldn’t have picked up a better culinary school. I enjoyed every second of my time, the demonstrations were very interesting and I learnt so much from each and every chef. We had so much fun in the practicals and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of such amazing society. I can’t wait for the Intermediate Patisserie to start!
