This year I’m not going to show you any Christmas treats. For the first time in my life, I’m not going to be home for the Holidays and there’s no point in baking goodies if you don’t have somebody to share them with. For the past three months I was too excited about my Patisserie Diploma and I kept myself busy in order not to let myself get homesick. But I guess it’s inevitable now, especially with the upcoming holidays. I miss my family and friends a lot and I wish I could be with them on Christmas.
I think what makes this time of the year so special, is the opportunity to be with your loved ones, to share the joy and to appreciate each others presence. It doesn’t matter how many gifts you receive, what matters is the person who put thoughts in them. We don’t need plenty of food, what we need is somebody to share the meal with. Let’s just go outside and have some fun making show angels and then go back home and enjoy a nice cup of homemade hot cocoa with marshmallows while watching Home Alone or Love Actually.
I made those jars of homemade Hot Cocoa Mix for my family and friends who are in Bulgaria. I cannot be with them for my favorite holiday, but I wanted to show them that I miss them, that I love them and that I wish them all the best!
It would be great if on Christmas eve everybody has its own mug of chocolaty goodness and enjoys it with the most special people in his life!
Thank you for being with me throughout this year! I wish everyone of you health and luck and lots of precious moments in the upcoming 2013!
